Strip Tec UK Terms & Conditions of Use
Purchasing with Strip Tec UK
When placing an order, you are making an offer to purchase the items in your basket. After checkout and payment, we’ll send you an order confirmation. Your offer is accepted—and a contract is formed—when we pack and dispatch your order (or the first part of it, if shipped in multiple consignments). We reserve the right to decline orders before dispatch, which is rare and typically occurs due to stock unavailability or pricing errors. In such cases, we will notify you and issue a full refund.
Stock Availability
We strive to ensure accurate stock levels using our stock management system. In rare cases where items are unavailable, we aim to inform you before ordering. If delays or stock discrepancies arise, we will notify you promptly. Our team works diligently to ensure smooth and timely order processing.
Pricing Errors or Wrong Items Delivered
Occasionally, pricing errors may occur (e.g., an item listed at £0.10 instead of £10.00). If this happens, we reserve the right to cancel your order up to the point of delivery. We will contact you to confirm if you wish to proceed at the corrected price. Similarly, in the rare event of incorrect items being delivered, we require you to notify us and will arrange for the return of any extra goods at our expense.
Prices
Prices are displayed as either inclusive or exclusive of VAT. If unclear, assume prices are excluding VAT. Shipping costs are calculated during checkout. Our lowest price guarantee applies to comparable products of the same or better quality, quantity, and availability. If you find a comparable product elsewhere before placing your order, contact us for a price match.
Delivery
Delivery options are shown during checkout, with free delivery available on qualifying orders. If you authorize couriers to leave parcels in specific locations or with neighbours, the delivery is deemed complete at that point. Couriers typically attempt redelivery a limited number of times before requiring collection from their depot. If goods are returned to us after failed delivery attempts, we will contact you. Unclaimed goods may be restocked or disposed of after 30 days without a refund.
Installers
We may recommend or list installers for your convenience. However, we do not take responsibility for their qualifications, accreditations, insurance, or workmanship. Installers are solely responsible for their services.
Product Guarantee
All products are covered by a guarantee—up to 2, 3 or 5 years depending on the item. Guarantee details are available on individual product pages.
The warranty covers the product itself and ensures that faulty items will be repaired, replaced, or refunded at our discretion. However, the warranty does not cover any loss of time, money, or on-site costs, including but not limited to installation, removal, or inspection fees.
Exclusions include improper installation, incorrect voltage use, faulty wiring, or exposure to excessive heat, water (unless IP-rated), or chemicals. Natural brightness or colour deterioration over time is also excluded. Claims for LED chip failures are valid if the failure rate exceeds 1.5%.
Cancellations & Returns
Consumer Rights
Consumers may cancel orders within 14 days of receipt. Notify us by calling or emailing returns@striptecuk.co.uk. Items must be returned undamaged, unaltered, and in their original packaging with manuals and accessories. Exceptions include bespoke, customized, or specially ordered items. Neon flex products are always non-returnable unless defective.
Faulty Items
If an item is faulty, contact us as above. Return faulty goods in their original packaging. We will reimburse shipping costs after confirming the fault.
Refunds will be processed back to the original payment method. The refund amount may be adjusted if the returned items are used, damaged, or missing components.
Website Content
Our photos, text, and trademarks are protected. Permission is required to use our materials. Unauthorized use will be pursued.
Liability
While we strive for excellence, unforeseen issues may occur. For consumers, we comply with all statutory rights, including providing goods as described. Indirect or consequential losses are not covered unless agreed prior to purchase. Business customers are limited to claiming the value of goods purchased. Exceptions include liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.
Disputes & Amendments
These terms are governed by English law. Disputes will be resolved in English courts. We reserve the right to amend these terms, with changes applying to new orders only.
